Erik-Anders is one of the seven farms which are on UNESCO's World Heritage List. The farm was built in the early 19th century and is located on the old meandering country lane through Asta village in Söderala parish. Asta village is one of the best preserved village environments in Söderhamn municipality and the large farm is centrally located along the old winding country lane.

The farm was built in the early 19th century and was included on a land division map from 1827. The farmhouse was the main dwelling house in a group of farm buildings. Around 1850 the farmhouse was extended and it was presumably then that it was painted yellow, a colour that is normally found on elegant buildings. The upstairs part of the extension included a large hall. There, and in both of the vestibules, original paintings of unusually high quality are preserved. It is not known who the painter is but he has decorated the walls with marbling and the odd flower border. Erik Andersson built the house, hence the name Erik-Anders.

The main dwelling house Erik-Anders has been inhabited by several families, and shows examples of interior decoration from the 1880s to the 1930s. Among other things, there are two well-preserved kitchens from the 20th century. With the help of a professional conservationist and an antiquarian, the interiors have been carefully restored.

You can buy handicrafts, textiles, furniture based on old copies, and there is also a shop selling products for the restauration, maintenance and renovation of older buildings. Antique and Nostalgia, Furniture restoration, Visitor centre for Hälsingland farms.

Recreated 1920s garden and Farm cafe in a delightful environment.
