Nature reserve showing two phases in the development of a forest

Located south of Kilafors, this area shows two phases in the development of a forest. One part of the forest is younger deciduous forest, and the other old coniferous forest, both important flora- and faunabiotopes. The most interesting forest is found north-west of lake Djupsjön. The water quality in the area is excellent, favouring the existence of salmon trout- and freshwater pearl mussel in the lake.

Free folders over all the nature reserves can be picked up or ordered from the Tourist Information. We are located in Bollnäs Culture House, and can be reached on phone +46 (0) 278-258 80 or e-mail turism@bollnas.se
